Hello there! I am an award-winning  children’s book author who believes that books are places where we can collectively hope and heal.

I create work that celebrate queer and trans people in hopes that these stories will provide some of the much needed representation kids crave AND NEED as they engage in the essential work of searching for themselves.

When not writing, you can find me curled up with a good book, a plate of chocolate chip cookies, a bottle of allergy pills, and if I'm really lucky, a cat that doesn't make me sneeze too much.

Two picture books are forthcoming, Mama, Zaza, and Me, acquired by Henry Holt Books for Young readers, and The People's Beach, acquired by Kokila.​
