Not He or She, I'm Me

They gleefully get dressed, hug their mom, learn at school, and frolic with friends. All the while, happily expressing that they are and can only be themself. The nonbinary experience is brightly illustrated as we follow our main character through their typical day. Bouncy and fun, the story’s refrain reminds readers about gender-neutral pronouns and affirms the identities of nonbinary children—encouraging us all to practice empathy for ourselves and others.
